Escrova Terms and Conditions

1. Overview
Escrova is an online escrow platform that protects buyers and sellers in digital and physical transactions. We act as a trusted third party to securely hold funds until both parties confirm that the agreed terms have been met.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using Escrova, you confirm that: • You are at least 18 years old or have legal consent to enter into contracts. • You have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to your transactions. If you do not agree, please do not use Escrova.
3. How Escrova Works
1. The buyer creates a transaction and funds it through Paystack. 2. Escrova safely holds the funds until both sides confirm delivery. 3. Once confirmed, Escrova releases payment to the seller’s linked account. 4. If there is a dispute, Escrova temporarily freezes the funds until a resolution is reached.
4. Fees
Escrova charges a small service fee per transaction, visible before confirmation. Fees are non-refundable once a transaction starts, except in special refund cases approved by Escrova.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to: • Provide accurate information when registering or transacting. • Use Escrova only for lawful purposes. • Not use Escrova for scams, money laundering, or fraudulent activity. • Respect other users and resolve disputes respectfully.
6. Dispute Resolution
In case of disagreement: • Both parties must submit clear evidence (screenshots, receipts, etc.). • Escrova reviews all submissions and makes a fair decision based on proof. • Escrova’s final decision on disputes is binding and cannot be appealed externally.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
• Transactions can be cancelled only before payment is confirmed. • Once funds are held in escrow, they can be released only by agreement of both parties or Escrova’s resolution decision. • Refunds are processed through the original Paystack payment method when applicable.
8. Account and Security
• You are responsible for securing your Escrova account credentials. • Escrova is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by user negligence. • We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in suspicious or fraudulent activity.
9. Limitation of Liability
Escrova is a mediator, not a seller or buyer. We are not liable for: • Product quality, delivery speed, or communication issues. • Any indirect losses or damages resulting from user errors or misuse. Our role is limited to holding and releasing funds safely under the agreed conditions.
10. Payment Processing
All payments are handled through Paystack, a secure third-party payment provider. Escrova does not store or process payment card details directly.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
We value your privacy. All data is stored securely in Supabase under strict access controls and Row Level Security (RLS). Your personal data is never shared, sold, or exposed to other users.

12. Platform Rights
Escrova reserves the right to: • Modify, suspend, or discontinue services temporarily or permanently. • Update these Terms and Conditions at any time. • Take necessary action against fraudulent users, including legal measures.
13. Termination of Use
We may suspend or terminate any user account that violates these Terms or is involved in abuse, fraud, or illegal activity. Funds held in ongoing transactions may be frozen pending investigation.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of Escrova means you accept any new updates automatically.
